"Born in Western Pennsylvania in 1947, Barbara's happy but nomadic childhood taught her early to observe and appreciate the new and different. Always interested in history, art and literature, she is in the process of turning a lifelong love affair with the written word into active expression. She insists the computer is the key to her verbal flowering. There is nothing she dreads more than editing and rewriting the handwritten word. Her first non-business-related prose in 2002 was in the form of a fanfic for a favorite television program. Now she is trying to perfect long and short essays based on personal experiences and observations. Her goal is to become a published writer.
